Late Model Fall Nationals Set for Three Days of
Hardcore Racing Action at Deep South Speedway
LOXLEY,
Ala. -- Deep South Speedway will play host to the Late Model Fall
Nationals during three days of wide open racing action set for the
middle of November, featuring some of the strongest Super Late Model
talent from across the country battling at the lightning fast high-banked
oval near the Gulf Coast.
The featured
events will offer race fans a chance to watch the high-horsepowered
Super Late Models battle door-to-door in three-wide racing action
lap after lap at mind boggling speeds on the exciting short track
located just north of Interstate 10 halfway between Mobile, Alabama
and Pensacola, Florida. A star-studded field of super late model
entries from all over the southeastern United States are expected
to gun it out over the special racing weekend at the track known
for its multi-groove racing surface and high-speed drama.
The action kicks
off on Friday night, November 14th with special events on the schedule
for the Street Stocks and Hobby Stock divisions, plus an open practice
session for all race cars in preparation for the Saturday and Sunday
events.
Gates will open
at 4:00 pm on Friday November 14th with racing getting underway
at 7:00 p.m. Grandstand Admission for Friday night is just $5.00
for Adults with all Kids 12 and under admitted Free into the grandstand
area when accompanied by an adult. Pit Passes for the Friday night
action are $10.00 (there is a $20 per car fee for all cars participating
in the open practice session)
Saturday night
(November 15th) the big guns will unload as Super Late Models square
off in a $2,500 to win main event on the half-mile speedplant. Added
fireworks will be provided by the support divisions for the Saturday
night show including Super Hobby, Open Wheel Modifieds, Vintage
Racecars, Stingers and Hobby division competitors. Pit Gates Open
at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday with Grandstand Gates opening at 5:00 p.m.
Racing action
will take the green flag at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday (November 15).
Adult Grandstand tickets for the Saturday portion of the three-day
weekend will be $10.00, Kids 6-12 are $5.00 and all children 5 and
under will be admitted free into the Grandstand area when accompanied
by adult. Pit Passes for Saturday night are $25.00.
The Late Model
Fall National weekend will conclude with a bang on Sunday afternoon
(Nov 16th) with featured events including a $4,000 to win battle
for the Super Late Models, plus the GM Performance Crate Engine
Late Models will rumble in a $2,500 to win main event.
Other support
divisions for the Sunday schedule of racing includes the Open Wheel
Modifieds, Street Stocks, Bombers & Stingers. Gates open at
Noon on Sunday November 16th with racing action roaring onto the
track at 3:00 p.m.
The Super Late
Models will compete under the tire rules of the Mississippi State
Championship Challenge Series which are posted on the internet at
http://www.midsouthracing.com/rulesm.htm and the general rules of
Deep South Speedway. There is a $75 entry fee for the Super Late
Models on Saturday and $100 on Sunday. GM Performance Crate Engine
Late Model entry fee for Sunday will be $75 while Open Wheel Modified
entry fees will be $25 on Saturday and $40 on Sunday.
