Peach State Speedway celebrates its 25th Anniversary of the World Crown November 6-9.

JEFFERSON, Ga. -- The 25th Anniversary of the World Crown weekend promises to be the biggest ever. Drivers are expected to come to Peach State Speedway to take on the challenge from through out the nation on November 6th-9th. Drivers from New York, Colorado, Wisconsin, Maine and through out the Southeast have already entered. There will be 3 days of racing.

The World Crown event has a rich history of winners. Three time NASCAR Winston Cup Champion and former Peach State Speedway track promoter Darrell Waltrip has won the World Crown event twice.

In addition, ASA drivers Dick Trickle, Mike Eddy, and Rich Bickle have taken wins. In addition, current NASCAR Craftsman Truck driver Rick Crawford has also won the World Crown. Most impressive, Georgia Asphalt Series competitor Paul Kelley has 3 wins. Other GAS Series drivers who have taken wins include Jimmy Garmon and Ronnie Sanders.

Sunday afternoon's competition will include the marque World Crown Pro Late Model event plus the Outlaw Late Models. Grandstands open at 10:00 AM with an on track autograph session for the fans at noon with racing at 2:00 PM.

Another special part of the weekend will be the return of the fan favorite Super Late Models. This 100 lap event will occur Saturday evening. The Pro Challenge touring series, Super Trucks, and Open Wheel Modifieds will also compete Saturday night in heats and features. This will be only the second ever appearance of the Open Wheel Modifieds at the 1/2 mile oval. Racing begins at 7:00 PM.

Friday evening's program will consist of heats and features by the Mini Stock, Sportsman and Renegade classes. Racing begins at 7:30 PM.
