Lanier National Speedway
When the great crowd that attended Lanier National Speedway on Saturday, August 22nd, wanted to see bent sheet metal, caution flags, and some of the best racing seen in the southeast, that is definitely what they received! With the NASCAR Whelen All-American Weekly Series in action, INEX Legends and Bandoleros, as well as the NVRA Vintage Association, and the most talked about race of the evening, Lanier's Second Annual 'Faster Pastor' School Bus Race.
Ministers from Riverbend Baptist, Montgomery Memorial Baptist, Net India Ministry, Mountainview Baptist and Hopewell Baptist were ready to battle for the 15 lap event. Johnnie Prichett of Pendergrass, GA and the Mountainview Baptist Church members can proudly say that they are the 2009 Faster Pastor champions of Lanier National Speedway.
