August Ahead for the GAS Series

JEFFERSON,
Ga. -- With summer coming to a close quickly, vacations are ending
and school starting back in a couple weeks, the Georgia Asphalt
Series for Pro Late Models begins to make a run toward the end of
the season with 3 races in 5 weeks.
The GAS Series
hits the road on Saturday, August 2nd with its second visit to Watermelon
Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia. The fast 3/8 mile oval hosted
the touring series in June where Bubba Pollard of Senoia, Georgia
took the win. The series will return to New Senoia on Saturday,
September 20th.
Two weeks later,
the GAS Series teams head for New Senoia Speedway in Senoia, Georgia
on Saturday, August 16th. This will be the series' second visit
to the speedway in 2008. Current points leader Ryan Sieg of Decatur,
Georgia, took his first ever GAS Series win the tight high banked
oval. Another visit to Senoia is scheduled for Saturday, September
20th.
Closing out
August on Labor Day weekend, the series heads to its home track,
Peach State Speedway in Jefferson, Georgia on Saturday, August 30th.
Ryan Crane of Panama City, Florida took his first ever GAS Series
win on the 1/2 mile oval.
The GAS Series
will close out the 2008 season at Peach State Speedway on Saturday,
October 4th where the 2008 champion will be crowned..
Plans are in
the making for the Annual World Crown 300 at Peach State Speedway
on November 7th - 9th. In addition to GAS Series style Pro Late
Models, the Super Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Toyota Tundra
Super Trucks, Outlaw Late Models, Sportsman, Mini Stocks and Renegades
will all compete at some point during this special weekend.
