IRL Testing Continues at Barber Motorsports Park

By Dave Lewandowski

With roughly 740 acres constituting Barber Motorsports Park, there's plenty of room to roam.

Just beware of giant arachnids, dragon flies and the 30-foot spider. Whimsical metal sculptures dot the manicured grounds of the 2.38-mile circuit, which is playing host to two days of IndyCar Series testing.

The facility is a motorsports version of a TPC course -- hillside stadium seating overlooks the straights and a few of the corners. It's in one of these bowls (Turns 7-8 of the 16-turn course) where three ants have preyed on a motorcycle (for iron), its driver (for calcium maybe) and a bottle of Coca-Cola (everything goes better with the IndyCar Series sponsor).
