fans … I am growing tired of all the uninformed Jimmie Johnson fans
in this world that go around “proclaiming his greatness” and comparing
Johnson with our “true champions” of the past, especially Richard
Petty and Dale Earnhardt, Sr. If
we examine the facts it becomes vividly clear that Johnson is floating
around the fourteenth spot “on the all-time great chart” at best.
In our
quest for the truth, let’s look at modern day NASCAR and its “super-team”
structure.

PRI
Report:
The
Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show scored another huge
hit in Orlando, and exhibitors are already planning their exhibit
strategies for 2011.
The PRI Trade
Show was created for such industry buyers as racing retailers, race
engine builders, WDs, chassis builders, motorsport engineers, professional
race teams and more. They shopped the latest product lines of more
than 1,000 companies displaying in 3000 booths.
They came from
all 50 states, and over 60 countries. They represented all forms
of auto racing—stock car, sprint car, drag racing, dirt late models,
off-road, modifieds, road racing, open wheel, and more.

Lanier
National Speedway
Ice Cold Shriners’ Bowl at Lanier to Kick off 2011 Racing Season

Barely one week
after New Year’s Day, the 2011 short track season will kick off
with the running of the Fourth Annual Ice Cold Shriners’ Bowl at
Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Georgia. This event will
feature several short track divisions with a 100-lap Pro Late Model
show headlining the exciting racing action that will take place
on January 8th-9th. In
just a few years, the Ice Cold Shriners’ Bowl has become one of
the premier Pro Late Model events in the Southeast. Both David Ragan,
who also competed in last year’s event, and defending winner Bubba
Pollard are expected to enter the event when entry forms are released
early next week.

For Tots Drive at Fred's BBQ House

Corps collected toys and donations for their Toys For Tots Christmas
program Saturday, Dec. 4th, in Lithia Springs.

Thornton Road, from noon to 5:00 p.m. and several activities delighted
young and old dropping by to donate.

ADRL
Ready to Make Impact at PRI Show

The American
Drag Racing League (ADRL) is returning to the Performance Racing
Industry (PRI) Trade Show and it will once again be in its familiar
Booth No. 609. The
23rd annual trade show runs Thursday through Saturday at the Orange
County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, and the ADRL is set
to have another strong presence at the show.
The ADRL’s top
executives and staff will be on hand for the show and they already
have a number of high-level meetings lined up with many of the biggest
names in the drag racing industry. The
ADRL will be there to discuss opportunities with its current marketing
partners and suppliers, while also fostering new relationships as
it introduces the premier doorslammer sanctioning body to new exhibitors.

DRAGWAY BANQUET HONORS MANY FIRST-TIME CHAMPIONS

ceremony on Nov. 20, at The American Legion post 127. In perfect
Southern form, attendees feasted first, while door prizes, donated
by track sponsors, were raffled off. O’Reilly
Auto Parts, Summit Racing Equipment, VP Racing Fuels, Lucas Oil
Products, Coca Cola, Year One, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires
& Wheels, Moroso Performance Parts, Computech Systems, and several
local businesses made the night possible.
